Drawing on the collective energies of fandom – as an anti-community based on common desires as opposed to common identities.

 

A "shipping ritual" was created to call forth Larry – a future subject without experience. The ceremony loosely based on "shipping" – a fanfiction practice of putting characters from a band/tv series/fiction into an imaginary erotic relationship not constituted in the "official" narrative, included shrine offerings such as stories, dance and song from fan participants including students from MA Body in Performance at Trinity Laban; Access All Areas Learning Disabled Theatre Company; and students from Glasgow School of Art.
