Fan Riot is an expansive project by Owen G. Parry exploring the convergence of art practice with fandom since the internet. It includes a Fan Club series with contributing artists and fan practitioners; workshops, publications, artworks and performances.

 

Fan Riot explores the phenomenon of fandom at a time when distinctions between the professional and the amateur, the artist and the fan are increasingly diminishing across networked cultures. It contemplates the ways artist and fans are negotiating these cultural shifts; making way for new expressive languages, and unusual and imaginative forms of creativity and collectivity.
